LYN #BombayCollection - Review

I love Mumbai and anything that is related to Mumbai gets me really excited. I was so kicked when LYN asked me to check out their new #BombayCollection

The collection has a mix of matte, glossy, glitter and chrome finish nail paint. I visited the Juice Nail Art Studio in Khar and they made this cute little taxi on my nail. I loved it.

The colours are vibrant and have a cool tone to them. The names of the shades are also very Mumbai-ish.

They are also long lasting; they lasted on my nails for about 5 days before starting to chip. You do need to apply at least three coats to make sure that you get the right shade on your nails.

The nail paint retails for ₹350/- for 12ml of product.

You can buy the nail paints online as well,

Lakme Eyeconic Curling Mascara in Blue – Review

I am not very good when it comes to experimenting with my makeup, I honestly believe that I should stick to the basics. Not because I don’t like experimenting but because I think I won’t do a good job achieving the look. However, when I learnt about Lakme’s Eyeconic Curling Mascara in Blue! I knew I had to get it.

I have used the mascara a couple of times now. I expected it to be super intense blue which it is not, you need to apply at least 2-3 coats for the colour to pop. I generally don’t like applying multiple quotes of mascara so I has let it down a little bit, I still do love it though. The product is not waterproof but I did cry a little bit once when I had applied it and it didn’t run down my cheeks, so I assume it does stay on for a while.

The wand and packaging is in the standard Eyeconic mascara style. The wand does little to add volume to your eyelashes but it does do a good job curling it. The wand did impress me a little, it separates the lashes perfectly and it is easier to coat every lash. If you are using fake eye lashes then this product should do wonders.

It retails for ₹350/- for 9ml of product

PizzaVito, CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai – Review

Went to this place on a Monday afternoon, late afternoon actually. I guess that explains why it was empty. Got a corner table for myself. The place is spacious with enough number of tables and good natural light.

I asked for sweet lime soda, they didn’t have that so the waiter recommended I opt for the lemon mint mocktail. I hesitated but he asked to give it a try and incase I don’t like it he would not charge me for that. I won’t say I loved it but it was not bad. We also tried their Kokum Juice and it was delicious.
We opted for their stuffed pizza; it is like a sandwich pizza. You eat it like a sandwich as well.

Although I am not really fond of spicy food, this pizza was sweet for my palate. I would have preferred it to be a little spicier. The pizza was still really yum and filling. I am glad I didn’t order for any sides as I am sure I wouldn’t have been able to finish it.

The waiter double checked if I had liked the mocktail before printing the bill, he said that he wouldn’t charge me if I have not liked it.

The service was nice; the staff was alert and welcoming.

Maybelline New York Baby Lips Bright Out Loud – Review

Lip balm is a must have in every girl’s handbag. It is an essential and for me personally, it has become more of a habit. I personally like lip balms which have a bit of colour as well.

The new Maybelline Bright Out Loud Lip Balms are just perfect; they give your lips moisture as well as the colour. There have been times when I didn’t reapply lipstick because my lip balm did the job for me.
The shades available are Pink Alert, Beaming Violet, Striking Orange and Vivid Peach. I am currently using Vivid Peach.

The lip balm is very moisturising and the colour is long lasting. It also has a minty, menthol y feel to it. The lip balm feels minty and mentholy when you apply it. It did shock me initially because I wasn’t expecting it but later however I have started liking the feel.

It is enriched with Vitamin E, Jajoba Oil and Shea Butter.

It officially retails for ₹190/- but there are a number of sales going on online and thus you could find it for around ₹150/-

Get Your Dream Wall In A Jiffy With Berger Paints

Indiblogger along with Berger Paints recently organised a bloggers meet in Mumbai. Since indiblogger was organising a meet in Mumbai after a really long time, I decided to go. The face that it was on a Saturday afternoon was the cherry on the cake. After a week at work, this was a welcomed break. I knew I was going to meet a ton of my blogger friends (and I did) made me look forward to the meet.

The meet started off with some yum lunch, followed by some musical chairs to get us into the fun mood. It worked.

Then the Berger session started and I was surprised that I found ‘painting my house’ interesting. We were introduced to their express painting service and it is amazing. Imagine getting your house painted but without all the dust and turning your house upside down? Berger Express Painting helps you get your house painted in a jiffy and without any hassle. Once you get in touch with Berger, they will come inspect your house, give you the price quotation and take charge of the entire painting process without any additional cost.

This Express Painting in a perfect option for everyone esp. if you are looking for something which is fast, easy and not turn your house into a mess, it is also ideal if you have kids or elderly in your house and want to avoid a lot of inconvenience.

We had a small painting activity for which we had to first scrap the canvas, just like how painter do before painting the house. Only after scrapping a couple of canvases, I could see people coughing and the room had an eerie dust cover. If so much dust can be generated after scrapping just a few canvases, I can imagine the ruckus it will cause when painting the entire house. Express Painting surely will help you here.

Here are two video to give you an idea about how it works, the T20 video is super adorable! Really, T20 ke jamaane mein test match kyu khel rahe ho?

We then took a short break to allow time to the Indiblogger team to prepare for the next activity. Of course the break consists us taking million selfies with everyone, clicking OOTDs and sipping on hot coffee. I like how effortless and comfortable Indiblogger meets have become for all of us, it is like we are a part of the same family. After the break we all got busy painting our canvases, and soon after left for home.

Oriflame Ecobeauty Cleansing Milk – Review

I cannot stress enough on how important it is to remove your makeup before going to bed. It helps clean your skin and remove all the dirt off your face which in the long run leads to a healthy and younger looking skin.
I have used coconut oil to remove my makeup for the longest time. I like to use products which are chemical free and as natural as possible. Oriflame recently launched their EcoBeauty Skincare Range and I have been using their products for a sometime now.
Their cleansing milk is made from natural ingredients and is paraben free. The fact that the product is made using natural ingredients helped me switch to this from oil.

It helps removes makeup quickly and also takes off waterproof eye makeup. The product is creamy and moisturising. I take some product on my hand and spread it all over my face and then gently massage it to take off all the makeup. I then wipe my face with a tissue. After wiping, I wash my face with a mild facewash.
I have noticed that after using the EcoBeauty Cleansing Milk my skin looks healthier and fresher the next morning. It also looks hydrated and I like the way my skin glows in the morning.
It comes in a pump bottle which makes it easier to pump out an adequate dollop of product.
It retails for ₹ 1299/- for 200ml

In The Next Life

After a long time I came across a music video which made simplicity look great. It showcased my beloved Mumbai so beautifully that I wondered when did I stop appreciating its beauty.

The video follows Adam Evald, a Swedish chamber pop composer, around Mumbai. The video is made by a group of friends and this is their first venture. I was amazed by how amazingly the video had come out considering that this was their first project.

I won’t talk much about it and ruin the experience for you but here’s a link, do have a look
